Making a complaint

You do not need to write a formal legal letter.

Email complaints@ukpayday.co.uk or write to our Edinburgh address and mark your message for the Complaints Team.

Tell us

  • Your full name
  • The email address or mobile number used when applying
  • When the issue happened
  • What went wrong
  • How it affected you
  • What you would like us to do

We will acknowledge your complaint promptly, investigate it fairly and keep you informed. For most complaints, we will send our final response within eight weeks.

If you are unhappy with our final response—or eight weeks have passed without one—you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Its service is free and independent.

You will normally need to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months of the date on our final response.
