Terms and conditions
Last updated: 16 August 2026
These terms explain how you may use UKPayday and what you can expect from our credit-broking service.
Please read them before submitting an application. By using the website or submitting your information, you agree to these terms.
01
UKPayday is a trading name of PJG Financial Limited.
PJG Financial Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker.
02
UKPayday does not lend money.
We do not:
Our role is to collect your information and check whether a participating lender or broker may be able to consider your application.
Any credit agreement is between you and the lender. The lender’s own terms will apply to that agreement.
03
When you submit an application:
We search a participating panel, not the whole credit market.
A potential match is not an approval, recommendation or guarantee. The lender may still decline your application or offer a different amount, rate or term.
04
As part of the matching process, your application may be referred to T Dot UK Limited.
T Dot UK Limited is an FCA-authorised credit broker. It may use an automated system to determine the order in which your application is presented to participating lenders and brokers.
T Dot UK Limited does not make the final lending decision.
Its privacy policy explains how it collects, uses, shares and stores information.
Once your information is passed to T Dot UK Limited or another partner, that organisation’s own terms and privacy policy will also apply.
05
UKPayday is intended for people who:
Submitting an application does not mean you meet a lender’s criteria.
Each lender decides its own eligibility requirements. These may include minimum income, employment, residency, affordability and credit-history requirements.
06
You must provide information that is accurate, current and complete.
You must not:
If information is incorrect, a potential match may be withdrawn and your application may be rejected.
We may suspend an application or ask for clarification if information appears incomplete, inconsistent or potentially fraudulent.
07
By submitting the form, you ask UKPayday and the partners involved in processing your application to contact you about that application.
This contact may be made by:
Application updates and service messages are separate from optional marketing.
You do not need to agree to marketing to use UKPayday. Marketing contact will only take place where there is a lawful basis and you have been given the relevant choice.
08
Checking for a potential match may involve a soft credit search carried out by a participating partner.
A soft search does not affect your credit score.
If you continue with a formal application, the lender may complete a hard credit search. A hard search is recorded on your credit file and may affect your score.
The lender or broker carrying out a search is responsible for explaining:
UKPayday does not access your full credit report or make the final credit decision.
09
We cannot guarantee:
Rates, terms and acceptance decisions depend on your circumstances and the lender’s assessment.
An eligibility result or conditional indication can be changed or withdrawn after further checks.
10
Before accepting a loan, check:
Do not accept an agreement unless you understand it and can afford every repayment alongside your essential costs.
If something is unclear, ask the lender for an explanation before agreeing.
11
UKPayday does not charge you for using its credit-broking service.
You should never be asked to pay UKPayday:
Any interest or lender charges will be shown in the lender’s credit agreement.
If someone claims to represent UKPayday and asks you to pay an upfront fee or provide a PIN, password or debit-card security code, stop communicating with them and contact help@ukpayday.co.uk.
12
PJG Financial Limited may receive a commission or referral fee from a lender or broker if our introduction leads to you entering a credit agreement.
The amount or structure of commission may vary between partners or products.
Where required, we will disclose:
You can ask us for the amount—or likely amount—of commission before entering a credit agreement. Email help@ukpayday.co.uk.
Further information about credit-broker commission is available in the FCA’s commission rules.
13
Our matching service, guides and website content provide general information.
They are not:
You remain responsible for deciding whether to apply, continue with a partner or accept a credit agreement.
If you are borrowing to repay other borrowing, cover the same shortfall every month or pay essential bills, another loan may make the situation harder.
Free and impartial help is available from MoneyHelper, StepChange and Citizens Advice.
14
UKPayday cannot manage a loan after it has been provided.
For questions about:
Contact the lender named in your agreement.
Any withdrawal or cancellation rights relating to the loan will be explained in the lender’s documents.
If you are unsure which company you were introduced to, contact us and we will try to identify it.
15
You may stop before submitting the UKPayday form.
Once submitted, information may be transmitted to T Dot UK Limited or another partner immediately. It may not be possible to recall information that has already been sent.
You are not required to accept a loan simply because a potential match has been found.
Stopping an application does not automatically delete information already processed. Information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
16
You may use UKPayday for lawful, personal purposes.
You must not:
We may restrict access, block activity or report suspected fraud where reasonably necessary.
17
We aim to keep UKPayday available and accurate, but we cannot promise that the website will always be:
We may suspend or change part of the website for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.
If an application fails to submit, do not assume it has been received. Contact us if you are unsure.
18
We take reasonable care to keep our information clear and current.
Loan products, lender criteria, rates and legal requirements can change. Information on the website may therefore be updated without notice.
The exact terms offered by a lender will take priority over general examples or information displayed by UKPayday.
A representative example is an illustration, not a personal quote or promise that you will receive those terms.
19
UKPayday may link or redirect you to a website operated by a lender, broker, adviser or other organisation.
We do not control those websites. Their own:
will apply.
A link or introduction does not mean UKPayday guarantees the organisation’s products, availability or decision.
However, this does not remove any responsibility we have for making an introduction or operating our own service with reasonable care.
20
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for:
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

We will investigate fairly and aim to send a final response within eight weeks.
If you are unhappy with our final response—or eight weeks have passed without one—you may be able to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
The Financial Ombudsman Service is free and independent. You will normally need to contact it within six months of our final response.
If your complaint concerns a lender’s decision, repayments or loan administration, you should normally complain directly to that lender.
24
We may update these terms to reflect changes to:
The latest version will appear on this page with its updated date.
Changes will not remove rights you already have. Material changes will apply to future use of the website and future applications.
25
If a court finds that part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.
If we do not enforce a term immediately, this does not mean we have given up the right to enforce it later.
26
These terms are governed by Scottish law.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections provided by the law where you live.
You may bring legal proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live. PJG Financial Limited may only bring proceedings against you in a court permitted by applicable consumer-jurisdiction law.
