Who sees it

Who receives your information?

T Dot UK Limited

As part of your application, you may be referred to T Dot UK Limited. Their privacy policy and information about how they collect, use and store personal data can be found here: https://t.uk/b-privacy/.

T Dot UK Limited is an FCA-authorised credit broker and becomes responsible for how it uses the information it receives.

It may use an automated system to determine the order in which your application is presented to participating lenders and brokers.

Participating lenders and brokers

Your application may be passed to one or more participating lenders or brokers so they can decide whether they may be able to consider you.

They may use your information to:

  • Check your identity
  • Assess eligibility
  • Consider affordability and creditworthiness
  • Prevent fraud
  • Contact you about your application
  • Make a lending or referral decision

The lender makes the final decision. UKPayday does not approve applications, set interest rates or provide the money.

Each organisation is responsible for its own use of your information. You should read its privacy policy before continuing.

Credit-reference and fraud-prevention agencies

A participating lender or broker may use credit-reference or fraud-prevention agencies.

The eligibility process may include a soft credit search. A soft search does not affect your credit score.

If you continue with a formal application, the lender may complete a hard credit search. A hard search is recorded on your credit file and may affect your score.

UKPayday does not make the final credit decision.

Automated decisions

Automated matching and lending decisions

Systems may use the information in your application to decide which lender or broker may receive it and the order in which matching attempts are made.

UKPayday does not use this process to decide whether you should receive a loan.

A participating lender or broker may use automated decision-making or profiling when assessing your application. Its privacy policy should explain:

  • What information it uses
  • How its decision is made
  • What the decision could mean for you
  • Whether you can request a human review

Information about benefits or financial circumstances may sometimes reveal or suggest information about your health or vulnerability. You may also choose to provide sensitive information when requesting support or making a complaint.

We will only use sensitive information where it is relevant, necessary and permitted by law.

Please do not send sensitive information unless it is needed to deal with your request.
